Placebo are an alternative rock band. They were formed in 1994 in London, England, by singer and guitarist Brian Molko and bassist Stefan Olsdal. Having sold millions of albums all over the world, Plcebo are known for their emotional, depressing, avant garde songs. They are mostly known for the soundtrack song 'Every Me And Every You' from the film "Cruel Intentions" back in 1999. Throughout their carrer they have recorded six albums. Although censorized for some of their songs, which many times refer to drug abuse or abnormal sexual orientations, Placebo have gained recognision worldwide and are considered one of the best alternative rock bands of all times. They are currently consisting of Brian Molko(founder-lead singer,guitarist), Stefan Olsdal(founder-bassist, backing vocals) and Steve Forrest(drums, backing vocals)
